Period poverty is the lack of access to sanitary products due to financial constraints, this can be caused by a wide range of life events that negatively impact on a girl or woman's ability to manage a most intimate and regular occurrence in her life.


What To Do If You Find Yourself Living In Period Poverty


If ever you find yourself living in Period Poverty, unable to pay for your sanitary products there is many ways to reach out and receive the help you need to. Whilst at university, there is many ways to get free sanitary products. Teachers in Worcester University run a ‘Menstruation station’ where students are able to go and collect sanitary products as they need them similarly, Bournemouth University have a Period Poverty campaign where they have now started receiving free sanitary products for their students. There is also many charities which offer services that help against Period Poverty one of them being Freedom4girls. Freedom4girls is a UK based charity and they educate you and provide period products for those in need.
